"I was pleasantly surprised. Although everyone wants to sit closer to the river activities, I guess you can’t expect the primo spot at 2:00 on Sunday. Service was great, and food selections were appropriate for the establishment. I’m hoping to get to the bar soon with my wife!!"

"Great friendly atmosphere, during summer or winter, they have a separate building with a bar on the property to have private party's. Great burgers and the chicken flat bread is fantastic. Also served with choice of sides, the coleslaw has a slight spice not to hot. Also the staff dresses for different occasions. A must if on the Chain O lakes."

"Surprise party I can not rave enough about the Snuggery I had a large group like 50 people. Everyone was wonderful from the managers to the bartender to the manager Ray at Morettis in Fox Lake which we had to buy when we rented the party house worth every penny!! They were very attentive, fun, helpful and very nice. If you have a party having it here will not be a disappointment at all!! They were amazing and it will ease your mind.."

"Great bar and grill and restaurant. Great place to stop and grab dinner and a beer. Good place to ride to, if you're on 2 wheels also. Menu has great variety. Fits the busy-bar-and-grill + restaurant niche perfectly. You'll see everyone dressed from nice casual, to flip flops to leather vests. And boats can dock, too."

"Nice recommendation While visiting from out of state someone mentioned cheese curds. Not familiar with what they were I was directed to the Snuggery. It turned out to be a great recommendation. Laurel (pretty sure that was her name) was fabulous. Had a glass of wine to go with my cheese curds & loved them. Even on a rainy, yucky evening the joint was packed. Service was great & the curds were delightful. When I return, I'll come back for more."

"Great Stop for boaters We love to visit the outside patio by boat and wave runner in the summer. Inside like a sports bar. Extensive menu. Something for everybody. Shouldn't say, but attractive young wait staff. Very cordial. Prices are very fair and there are different specials for different days. Full bar and COLD beer."

"Boater's Haven We always end up at the Snuggery while boating on the Chain. I love the pulled pork sandwich and the coconut crusted onion rings. It is always so peaceful to watch the boats fly by and sometimes a pontoon boat will float in as well."

"Whatever is going on in the kitchen- keep it up! We went on a Friday night and had fish fry, pulled pork dinner, and ribs. Everyone loved the food. After a bit of busy-ness, everything settled down. Service was good, food was excellent. We ate inside, plenty of room, but there is outside dining too right on the river! We will be back."

I had the Jessica's chicken sandwich but didn't really want it on the bun. The waitress offered to put it on flatbread, oh was that good. So glad she made that suggestion."

"2017-65 Boating Scenery My son and I stopped at this McHenry restaurant, located by the river with a patio as well as an inside sitting. We chose to seat outside so to enjoy the view of the boats going up and down the river as well as the boats docking next to it. The staff was very Friendly and attentive to our needs. This is a casual American grub and a large waterfront patio in a very relaxing atmosphere. I had the Strawberry salad with orange pieces, grapes, feta cheese and chicken, very good and enough for two."

"It was a gorgeous day (80 degrees in September? Booya!), so my gf and I wanted a spot for lunch on the water, but when the bees kept flying around her newborn, our server, Jessica, was very accommodating with moving us and our food & drink inside. Not only were we greeted promptly with orders taken when we were ready, but consistent throughout our entire lunch. "
